Elfquest Coincidence Fairy

I mixed clay for DAYS trying to get the right color. I'm really happy with the way it came out. Only thing is, I can't sand or use acetone on it because it turns it white...So, this sculpture has been a labor of love.
Starting with a lump of clay and some wire I build, pack, and push until I have a humanoid form. Then the real fun begins. Detailing the tiny creases in the fingers, tendons in the hands muscle structure of the back. Fun stuff.

I don't have enough brown clay to make a fairy princess. I'm ticked off about that because getting the right color mixed was so hard for me. I don't have any art training so it was trial and error. I don't have a clue what color blue and orange make! Got a lot of grey looking clay that I'm going to use to make a bust of bob marley.

I really want to do the brown skinned fairy princess. Wish me luck please....
